Marion “Mike” Pascal Rogers, age 91, of Westfield, IL passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Monday June 15, 2020 in the original family home that he was born in. He was born on the family homestead November 17, 1928 in Westfield, IL the son of Leonard Ralph Rogers and Mary Marie Higgins Rogers.

Survivors include his brother, John Rogers of Charleston, IL; nephews and nieces, Michael Shane Rogers of Mattoon, IL; Ke’an Rogers Armstrong of Charleston, IL; Rob Robison (Sherry) of Westfield, IL; Rodney P. Robison of Westfield, IL and Madonna Staggs of Westfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Rosemary Wade, Linda Bushart and Irene Robison.

Marion was a 1946 graduate of Westfield High School. He was a US Army Korean war veteran serving his country from 1950 – 1952. He worked for Western Electric Company as a telephone equipment installer for over 33 years. After retirement he worked as an electrician for Great Lakes Naval Base for 5 years. Marion was a quiet and private man; he enjoyed reading books and woodworking. He earned many blue ribbons during the Westfield Homecoming festivities for his woodworking items. He was a private pilot and enjoyed spending time flying. Marion was a member of the Westfield American Legion and 60 year Master Mason and member of the Westfield Masonic Lodge.

Due to current social restrictions, graveside services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday June 18, 2020 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL with Pastor Walter Miller officiating.
