Daryl Randolph Williams, 91 years old, of Beaver, WV passed away peacefully at Bowers Hospice House on June 12, 2020, with family at his side. Prior to retiring, Daryl served in the United States Army and was President of Daryl R. Williams Builder- Developer Inc. Part of his accomplishments during his successful career were building of The Char restaurant in Beckley, development, and building of homes in Shan-Lyn-Le Village subdivision (named after his three children) in Daniels, development, and building of homes in Cherry Hill subdivision in Beaver, development, and building of Cherrywood Terrace apartments, condominiums, and townhouses in Beaver, the building of some homes in Woodcrest subdivision, and the building of some homes in Stanaford Acres subdivision, along with various other homes in the Beckley area. Daryl was an avid Nascar and WVU football fan. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and boating.

Born on February 13, 1929, in Sophia, WV, he was the son of the late Walter W. Williams (Deceased) and Marigold Jones-Williams-Basham (Deceased). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Kathryn “Kitty” Sue Williams (1937-2001); and son, Mark Williams (Deceased).

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kelli Williams-Nebling and husband J.D. Nebling of Villa Rica, GA, and Susan Williams-Weaver & husband Jerry Weaver of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Ilene Barr of Daniels, WV, and Aretta Harvey of MacArthur WV; brothers, Ronnie Basham & wife Sue Basham of Wake Forest, NC, and Leon Basham & wife Kitty Basham of Louisburg, NC, granddaughters, Kati Deason & husband David Deason of Trussville, AL, Savanna Nebling of Villa Rica, GA, and Karen Bailey & husband Donnie Bailey of Charleston, WV; grandson, Shane Mantz, of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandson, Conner Bailey; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, his visitation and service will be held privately. The Funeral Service for Daryl will be at 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center in Beckley with pastor Don Kelly officiating. Military Funerals Honors and entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden’s graveside alongside Kitty Sue and Daryl’s private mausoleum.
