Mr. John Dwayne Yarbrough, 80, passed away on June 15, 2020 in Tallahassee, FL. John was born October 3, 1939 in Bonifay, Florida to Abraham Lincoln Yarbrough and Laura Huggins Yarbrough.

After honorably serving our country in the United States Army he attended and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Accounting. He established his CPA practice in Perry in 1973 and was a long time member of the business community in Perry. He attended First United Methodist Church of Perry.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary Yarbrough; children Scott Yarbrough and his wife Leigh, Marc Yarbrough and his wife Laurie, and Greg Yarbrough, five granddaughters, two brothers Coleman and Kelly Yarbrough as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Pineview Memorial Cemetery with Bro. James Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home of Madison, FL or the Florida State University Foundation. Please respect the CDC guidelines during this time, and it is requested that social distancing be observed. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
