Eric “Todd” Dwayne Alexander, 52, of Peoria, IL passed away at 7:34 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Eric, affectionately known as Todd, was born September 3, 1967 in Peoria, IL to Walter Gunzell and Dorothy Mae (Brown) Alexander.
Todd leaves to cherish his most precious memories five sisters, Sheree Lyles, Sandra Alexander, Lisa Alexander and Michelle Alexander all of Peoria, IL., and Angela (Stacey) Hannah of Austell, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Kevin Alexander, Sheldon Alexander and Kenneth Alexander; and one special niece, Santia Young.
Todd was a graduate of Woodruff High School. He worked for Peoria Park District for many years. Todd was a charismatic, laid back and fund loving man. He was old school; you could often find him fishing, watching western movies or playing his blues music. He loved his family and spending time with them.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Simons Mortuary with a two hour visitation from 9 am to 11 am. Elder Felton Beck, Jr. will bring words of comfort. Todd will be laid to rest at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
