Teresa "Terri" Lee (Woods) Gibson left this life and went home Thursday, June 11, 2020. Terri was born March 13, 1953, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to John and Billie Woods.
She married Steve Gibson April 15, 1977, in Waurika where she graduated in 1971. She was a hairdresser for more than thirty years in her community where she touched many lives. She was a member of the church of Christ in Waurika where she served faithfully.
Terri was so special to her family, not only the first grandchild, but a favorite of her cousins. She was always there for the needs of anyone. She was Mimi to her grandchildren and to everyone who knew her. She was never made to feel more special than by her husband Steve as he cared for her until the very end. He never left her side the whole last year. After forty-three years of marriage, their love was never stronger.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents John and Billie Woods, and her grandparents Dick and Irene Richardson and Gertrude Woods Estes.
She is survived by: her husband, Steve; two daughters Laura and Jason Thomas of Flower Mound, TX and Stephanie and Spence Reynolds of Waurika, OK; three brothers Bill and Sheery Woods of Montana, Steven and Karen Woods and Mike and Carol Woods of Oklahoma City, OK; a mother and father-in-law Jim and Nancy Gibson that love her like their own; one sister-in-law Melissa and Brian Grimm of Stillwater, OK; five grandchildren Sidney and Rhett Thomas of Flower Mound, TX, and Kaci, Reese and Tack Reynolds of Waurika, OK; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who adored her.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the Waurika Cemetery with Noel Curington officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika.
