He was born in Des Moines on April 7, 1951, to Roy and Juanita Taylor.
Bill was a hardworking man who had a natural ability to understand anything mechanical. He was very artistic and was a talented painter and drawer.
Bill enjoyed spending time with all kinds of people, had the gift of gab, and never met a stranger.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vickie; children, Billie Jacobs, Brian (Jessica) Taylor, and Robert Taylor; grandchildren, Heather (Zach) Smith, Tanner Jacobs, Cody Taylor, Jocelynn Taylor, Rylan Taylor, and Penelope Taylor; great-grandchildren, Owen, Bella, Adam, Z.J., Annalise, Jacob, and Quorra; sister, Carol (Mike) Nieters; cousin, Kenny Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Taylor, and siblings, Harvey, Maurita, John, and Dan Taylor.
The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m.
