Darlene Bangerter, 64, joined her family in Heaven on Thursday, 11 June 2020.

Darlene was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 9 August 1955, to Frederick Alden "Al" and Beth "Betsy" (Wood) Bangerter. She was one of their three children, raised in Bountiful, Utah and resided in Centerville, Utah.

She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Darlene earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and graduated as Valedictorian from Brigham Young University, class of 1982. From there, she worked at LDS Hospital, the American Red Cross and other nursing institutions where she was an angel to many.

Darlene and her sister traveled the world. There wasn’t a continent Darlene hadn't "seen with her own eyes".

She loved beautiful music and enjoyed Disney films.

Her compassion for others--especially her family and friends--is incomparable in our world. She spent countless hours with us during our times of illness and recuperation, and lovingly assisted others of our family as they left this mortal realm. No doubt Darlene's heart was much bigger than her stature.

She was loved and is missed by us all.

Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Beth Bangerter and her siblings, Philip and Susan.

She is survived by many extended family members and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Darlene's name to the American Red Cross.

Graveside Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, 22 June 2020, in the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West (Oak Street). Please follow the social distancing guidelines for Davis County in order to keep each other safe.

Arrangements entrusted to Russon Brothers' Bountiful Mortuary.
