Joshua Lee Campbell, 33, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Wednesday, May 20,2020 at his parent’s home. He was born in Waynesboro on January 22, 1987, a son of Ricky Lee and Cindy (Bradley) Campbell.

Joshua graduated from Ridgeview Christian School. He attended Virginia Tech and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Joshua greatly enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, camping, and traveling. He greatly enjoyed being creative and unique. He was best known for being innovative and for his gentle and forgiving personality. Above all he was an old soul.

Joshua was preceded in death by his child, Poppy and grandfather, Glennie Campbell.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kristin Ann Campbell; children, Ascher and Avonlea; brothers, Brandon Campbell and wife, Lauren, and Cody Campbell and wife, Samantha; brother and best friend, Jonny Elliott and wife, Megan; grandmothers, Nancy Beyeler and Helen Campbell; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family request that in lieu of traditional flowers, living plants or animals be sent in Joshua’s memory.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ryan Gentzler at UVA and his nurse, Kelly; Hospice of the Piedmont nurse, Ilona; and Joshua’s personal nurse and caregiver, Megan Elliott, for the their loving care of him and his family.
