Deloris Ann Sanders, 71, of Branchland, WV passed away Monday, May 8, 2017.
She was born April 5, 1946 at Lundale, WV to the late William "Robert" Brickles (1914-1969) and Bertha Mae Dempsey-Brickles (1923-1996). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sanders (Deceased); daughter, Bertha Mae Sanders-Arnold (Deceased); granddaughter, Tonya Michelle Simpkins (Deceased); brothers, Carlos Brickles (1943-Deceased), Orville Brickles (Deceased), Dennie Brickles (Deceased), and Roy Lee Brickles (1950-1950); sisters, Mary Ellen Brickles (Deceased), and Georgia "Georgie" Mae Brickles-Paugh (1941-2011); great grandchildren, Morgan Paige Cole (Deceased) and Mason Cole (Deceased). She was previously married to Franklin Simpkins (B. 1935) on February 10, 1961 in Mallory, Logan County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Logan County, WV, 1961, Page 347, Application Date: January 31, 1961).
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Simpkins & companion Wallace McCoy, and Debra Lynn Saul; two sons, William Robert Franklin Simpkins I, and James Eric Sanders; grandchildren, Brian Alan Simpkins, Rebecca Faye Lykins, Jamie Nichole Simpkins, William Robert Franklin Simpkins II, Maria Shantal Simpkins, and Logan Sanders; brothers, Virgil Brickles and William Robert "Bill" Brickles; sisters, Maggie Brickles-Morgan-McCoy (B. 1947), and Patricia "Patty" Brickles-McCoy; eleven great grandchildren; and a very special friend, Keith Ellenson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday May 12, 2017 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Lonnie Wilson officiating. The burial will follow in the Vance-Sanders Cemetery, Long Branch Road, Branchland, WV.
