On 23 April 1871 he married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hites. They had ten children.
1. Ralph Waldo Lincoln (1873-1941)
2. Alice Lincoln (1874-1904)
3. Clara Lincoln (1876-1935)
4. John Chester Lincoln (1878-1903)
5. Leroy Gordon (Godfrey) Lincoln (1880-1961)(Listed as Frank Lincoln on 1880 Census)
6. Lillian Josephine Lincoln (1882-1958)
7. Ellen Blanch Lincoln (1884-1884)
8. Robert Carl Lincoln (1886-1920)
9. Hattie Lincoln (1888-1961)
10. Oliver Byron Lincoln (1891-1938)
I have seen an eleventh child listed, Willy or William Lincoln (1890-1890), but have found no record or printed reference to him. He would be buried in Nebraska if someone finds a grave or reference for him.
He moved around during his life. He was born in Batavia, New York in 1847. By 1870 the family had moved to Morgan, Franklin Co, Iowa, where, a year later he married Elizabeth Hites. However, was not listed with the rest of the family in the 1870 federal population census, but I found him in the 1870 non-population schedule for agriculture in Morgan, Iowa. In 1876 he was still in Franklin county, but when his son John was born in 1878, they were in Butler county. The next three children were born in Butler county, but in different towns. In the 1885 State census, the family is in Beaver, Grundy Co, Iowa, but in 1886, his son, Robert, is born in Parkersburg, Butler Co, Iowa. In 1888, his daughter, Hattie, is born in Nebraska. In 1891 his son, Oliver Byron, is also born in Nebraska, and by 1896 they are in Missouri, where his wife dies. He is listed in the 1900 census, still in Missouri, with six of the children, where he remains until he dies in 1906 at the age of 59.
