Wm. Dockery, for thirty-two years a resident of Galena, passed away at his home in Joplin last evening at 5:30 o'clock after a lingering illness with a complication of ailments. Mr. Dockery was 64 years of age and was among the first settlers in Galena. He lived here continuously until a few months ago when he and his wife moved to Joplin.
Mr. Dockery is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. J. A. Kimmons and Mrs. E. E. Harris, and one son, James Dockery, of Galena. He was a member of the Knights and Ladies of Security and this lodge will be represented at the funeral, which will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Kimmons, of 900 Joplin street, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial probably will be in the Galena cemetery.

William and his wife Mary had 3 known children: Louvenia J Dockery Harris, Anna M Dockery Kimmons, and James Thomas Dockery. Louvenia, who married Edgar E Harris, handled her mother’s estate after Mary died in 1922. Louvenia died on March 21, 1951, in Ottawa County, Oklahoma. Anna, who married John A Kimmons, died in 1942, and James died in 1921.
