Joe was a Marine in the Korean War in the 1950's.
His wife, Bonita, preceded him in death in 1982.
He was employed with the Department of Public Health at Marion County Health and Hospital Corporation for 18 years and was later self-employed as an air conditioning repairman.
He is survived by his children: Ed Blake and wife Angie; David Blake and wife Tina; Carroll Brierley and husband Dan; Mark Blake and wife Sue; Beth Ohlheiser and husband Steve; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial will be held at Bainbridge Christian Church on Saturday, October 21 at 2 pm.
