Steve was a man with a kind heart, a strong personality, and a constant desire and need to be with family and friends. His heavy equipment skills began in his sand box with Tonka Equipment, then moved to large excavators and other equipment through his career in construction.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sara; children: Jordan Cook of Sunfield, Cole (Kerrigan Scharick) Cook of Lansing; parents, Steve and Diann Cook of Mason; sister, Jamie (Mike) Daugherty of Whitehall; grandmother, Thelma "Tillie" Marshall of Mt. Pleasant; step-sons: William Parks and Noah Sherwood.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles Marshall, and Lawrence and Doris Cook.
In keeping with Steve’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
