Elizabeth "Betty" Tornichio Kury left us on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Shelborne Personal Care Facility, with family by her side.

Betty was born on December 21, 1935, in Carnegie, to the late Anthony and Rose (Chido) Pantuso Tornichio. She was the youngest of seven children.

Betty was a longtime member of St Ursula's Parish in Allison Park and St. Ursula’s Christian Mothers. She was a talented seamstress, member of Allison Park Quilters, always crocheting and was a fantastic baker.

Betty worked for St. Ursula’s church for years till illness forced her to discontinue working.
She also volunteered for many organizations, including Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her four children, Mary (Joe) Lippert, Beverly (Robert Bloom) Haggerty, Russell Kury and Beth (Nico Englebrecht) Yankel; eight grandchildren, James, Jessica, Jennifer, Scott, Ashley, Danielle, Jacob, and Abby; 12 great grandchildren, James, Billy, Shane, Alyssa, Landon, Allison, Amy, Tay, Finley, Karl 'KJ', Bennett and Ronan; two sister-in-laws, Libby Biesenkamp and Corrine Tornichio; a step-sister, Shirley Brazen and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and other family members

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kury; longtime companion, Jack Dailey; son-in-law, Jim Haggerty; both her parents; step mother, Margaret Maltony, and all six of her siblings, Alfred, Albert and Elvido Pantuso, Teresa Chianese, Delores Doman, and Samuel Tornichio.
