Kimberly Lynn Carter Hicks

DEARBORN, Mich. - Kimberly Lynn Carter Hicks, 33, formerly of Oceana, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2005, at her residence.

Born Nov. 13, 1971, at Mullens, she was the daughter of Martha Buckland Roberts of Clear Fork and the late Jimmie Darrell Carter.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ronald Buckland and Ira Carter.

Other survivors besides her mother include three sons, Dannie Ray Hicks and Michael Austin Hicks, both of Clear Fork, and Brandon Tyler Hicks of Oceana; maternal grandmother, Delcia Natalee Buckland of Oceana; paternal grandmother, Leona Carter of Wyoming; stepfather, Shelby Roberts of Clear Fork; a sister, Dana Michelle Watkins of Bassett, Va.; and a brother, Jimmie Darrell Carter Jr. of Columbus, Ohio.

She was loved and will be missed by many family and friends.

Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Stafford Family Funeral Home Chapel, Lynco, with Brothers Curtis Stafford and David Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.

Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Martha Roberts or Curtis Stafford.
