Hazel Porter Morgan, 99, went to her eternal home on June 13, 2020.

A native of Easley and formerly of Lyman, she was a member of Devenger Road Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church; prior to joining Devenger Road, she was a longtime member of Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. She retired from Lowenstein Corporation after 47 years of service. She never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by one brother-in-law, Burthhold Hooker; one nephew, Ben Hooker (Ann); four nieces, Geraldine Harris Staggs (Carl – deceased), Julia Langston (James), Nancy Simpson (Lamar) and Betty Pinner (Randy); fourteen great nieces and nephews, and sixteen great-great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Forrest Avner Morgan; parents, Mary Etta Gravely and Julian Ottis “J.O.” Porter; her mother-in-law, “Miss Eva” Morgan, whom she loved like a mother; two sisters, Opal Hooker and Eloise Anthony (Frank); one brother-in-law, Henry Morgan; two nieces, Linda Harris Bouvier (raised in the home) and Judy Harris; one nephew, Herbert Harris and one great niece.

A private funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at Devenger Road Assoicate Reformed Presbyterian Church conducted by Pastor Andrew Di lulio and Pastor Richard McAlister. A live stream may be viewed at www.devengerroad.org. A public graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at Wood Memorial Park, 863 Gap Creek Road, Duncan, SC 29334.
