On Friday morning, June 5, 2020, Olivia N. Howard was called home to be with the Lord. Olivia was born on June 18, 1942, to Velma Heath and Toy Odell Howard in Bristol, TN.

Olivia graduated from J.F. Slater High School in Bristol, Tennessee, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Virginia. She enjoyed a successful career in the Pittsylvania, Virginia County school system until retirement.

She was very active in the community, especially the Bibleway Cathedral. Olivia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, The Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the Chit Chat Club, the Big Sister's Club of Danville, and several other organizations.

Olivia is survived by two sisters, Linnie Westmoreland and Rita Howard; four brothers, Harris William, Milton, and Aaron Howard; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside service: Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol TN at 1 pm. The family requests that social distancing guidelines are followed.
