Buhrandt, Shirley A. Shirley Ann Buhrandt, 70, a resident of Sharpe Care in Oconto Falls, formerly of Sur-ing, passed away on Tuesday,' Jan. 3, 2006, at Sharpe Care.
She was born October 17, 1935, to the late Clifford and Evelyn (Dittman) Frank in Gillett, and graduated from Gillett High School in 1953. On June 21, 1958, Shirley married Alvin Buhrandt at Christ Lutheran Church in Hintz.
She taught grade school for six years at Frank, Mountain and Frostville Schools. She enjoyed working with the 4-H and cooking.
Shirley is survived by her son, Ned Buhrandt, Gillett; and sisters, Joan Shaw, Oconto; and Nancy Steffel, Suring; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley's husband, Alvin, passed away in 2004. Also proceeding her in death were her parents, Clifford and Evelyn (Dittman) Frank; and three infant children, John, Jeff, and Sarah Buhrandt.
Services at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Suring, at 1 p.m. on Friday Jan. 6, 2006. Friends may call at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating.
In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, is in charge of arrangements.
