Barboursville, W Va, April 17. - Herber Anderson, a sixteen-year old boy, the son of Marshal S V Anderson, of this place, was killed shortly after 7 o'clock last night near the McClung street crossing of the Guyandotte Valley railway. The boy attempted to jump on a moving west bound coal train, when he slipped in some way and fell under the wheels. His head was cut off and the body terribly mangled. He was a bright and industrious boy. A brother died two weeks ago from measles and another member of the family was drowned in Guyan river in 1913.
The parents are distracted over the fearful affair.
