Arthur Elbert Scott Jr. age 72, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was born November 13, 1947 in Butler, Missouri, the son of Arthur Elbert Scott and Gladys Irene (Wheatley) Scott. He was a 1965 graduate of Central High School in Springfield.

Art worked as a sales and service manager throughout his career for companies such as Todd Uniform, American Linen Company, Scotts Automotive, Fleet Services and Frito Lay. He enjoyed fishing and looked forward to the horse racing season at Oaklawn. Art could imitate Donald Duck, not only in speech, but he entertained others in costume, to the enjoyment of family and nursing home residents. He was always willing to help others.

On May 18, 1984 he and Vicky (Riggs) were married. Art’s family, children and grandchildren were the pride of his life. He continually bragged on them and gave them a helping hand whenever asked. Each one will miss him greatly.

Art was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Karen Sue Scott, a sister, Alma Fletcher, and his parents.

Survivors include: His wife, Vicky; three children, Lisa Davis and husband Troy of Springfield, Michelle Heidt and husband Andre of Ozark, and Andy Scott and wife Amanda of Springfield; grandchildren, Zachary Woods and wife Amber, Scott Woods and fiancé Subrina, Dakota Heidt and girlfriend Audrey, Ethan Scott, and Clayton Woods; great grandchildren Andrew Davenport and Zayne Woods; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
