Raymond was a lineman for KC Power and Light. He and Lucille divorced on 17 Nov 1936 after just a few turbulent years, and both went on to remarry without any other children.
Raymond died at 2718 Troost from head injuries. He had been climbing the stairs up the back of his apartment building (2718 Troost) when he fell and fractured his skull. Family lore says he was coming home from work, after cashing his paycheck, and was mugged when he reached the landing at his apartment's back door. The coroner deemed it an accident.
