Joe L. Jacobs, 85, of New Hope, died Sunday at his home.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church with Jerry Reader officiating. Burial will be in Moon Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Jacobs, a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., was retired from TVA and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Adeline Gallaher Jacobs; a daughter, Joy Jacobs Davis of Birmingham; a son, Coy R. Jacobs of Huntsville; four sisters, Rosa Rose of Michigan, Mattie Price of South Carolina and Lucy Darnell and Nell Adomyetz, both of Florence; a brother, Yates Jacobs of Tennessee; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
