Bernabe P. Struck age 89, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away on June 8, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores T. Struck; daughter Martie Struck Miera; parents Meliton and Clorinda Struck; in-laws Meliton and Elena Trujillo; brother Willie Struck; sisters Cecilia Jimenez, Rosa Simpson, and Luz Trujillo. Bernabe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Upon returning home he worked for many years as the postmaster of the Ranchos Post Office. For many he was a father figure and was an avid Taos Tiger fan. He is survived by his children Albert Struck (Doris), Frank Struck, Orlinda Struck, Bernadette Chavez (Jamie), Bernie Struck, Robert Gatlin (Nancy), son-in-law Jessie Miera; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings Priscilla Martinez, Meliton Struck, Jr. (Lucille) and many other loving relatives and cherished friends. Public visitation was held on Friday June 12, 2020 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM in the Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Private Rosary was recited at DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Francis de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos, with burial following at the St. Francis Cemetery.
