Roger W. Gardner, 74, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at his residence with his brother, Steve by his side.
Born, September 3, 1945 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Billy G. and Connie Jeane (Buell) Gardner.
Roger graduated from Greensburg High School in 1963 and then joined the Air Force. He served two tours of duty in Viet Nam and was in the air police. He had been a member of the American Legion. Roger along with his brother, Steve were collectors of antique and classic automobiles and parts. Roger was a well-known source of information to the members of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Classic Car Club.
Roger enjoyed life, traveling, his friends and the car collecting hobby.
He is survived by his brother, Steve n F. Gardner, Greensburg and Aunt, Doris Gardner, Westport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
An open casket visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16th at 9:30 until the graveside service at 10:00 a.m. at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg with Rev. Aaron West officiating. Military services will follow. Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
