Patrick Wayne Hamilton was born on December 25, 1959, in Palestine, Texas. He transitioned to eternity on April 25, 2020, in Rowlett, Texas.

Affectionately regarded as "Wayne", Patrick graduated from Skyline High School in 1978. He went on to enlist in the United States Air Force in which he served four years as a fuel specialist at the rank of sergeant. He later earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Patrick enjoyed a longtime career with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and retired after 34 years of dedicated service.

He married the love of his life, Denise Bridges. To their union, a beautiful daughter was nurtured and loved. The two remained united for 32 years until his transition.

Among many hobbies, Patrick delighted in cooking, traveling, and listening to jazz. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Patrick was a member of St. Luke "Community" United Methodist Church in Dallas.

A loving family man with an admirable work ethic, Patrick will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George Hamilton who he regarded as "Big Daddy" and Evadree Hamilton who he regarded as "Big Mama"; father, Robert Lewis Townsy; mother-in-law, Flora Bridges; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those left to cherish precious memories include his devoted wife, Denise Hamilton; daughter, Jazmin Hamilton Walton (Christopher); granddaughter whom he adored, Leah Rénae Walton; mother, Estrada Hamilton Street; grandmother, Lizzie Traylor whom he regarded as "Little Mama"; father-in-law, Hugh Bridges; special cousin/brother, Dale Gholston; siblings-in-law: Debra Benjamin (Freddie), Arlington Bridges (Antoinette), Renee Bridges, and Beverly Jones (Hercules); aunts: Eddie Ree Gholston (L.J.), Murlyn Hamilton Banks (Wilbert), Oweda Marsh, Theresa Lavern, and Doris Etta Hamilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
