Julia Harrison, 80, of Corinth, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at Magnolia Regional Health Center after an extended illness. She was a native of Corinth who graduated from Corinth High School in 1949 and later attended Blue Mountain College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Prentiss M. Gordon, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Ann (Deb) Rutherford (Phillip) of Corinth; the father of her child, Gerald M. Harrison of Deland, Fl.; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Dalton and Zephyr Page Choate; and an infant brother, James Choate.

Pallbearers will be John Underwood, Tom Underwood, John Mercier, Nicholas Phillips, Ben Page, and Bobby Burns.

Honorary Pallbearers will be “The Girls”, Janie Little, Sue Mullins, Ann Lancaster, Mildred Norman, Joanne Palmer, Martha Strickland, Barbara Ammons, and Jane Hamm Bush. “The Girls” started school together and are friends who still meet every Tuesday for lunch.
