ROBERT OSCAR ROSEWALL, 61, died Tuesday, August 5, 1986 in his Houston home. He had recently retired from Exxon (ESSO Eastern) to Weimar, Texas, after a 38 year career in Oil and Gas Management. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Weimar. Mr. Rosewall served in the Pacific during World War II as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. He received his Chemical Engineering Degree from Louisiana State University in 1947, where he was a member of Sigma Nu and Alpha XI Sigma.
Mr. Rosewall is survived by his wile, Grace Bowdon Rosewall; mother, Elizabeth Bertram Rosewall of Houston: two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Rosewall Maly and Edward Maly of Sugar Land, Cynthia Rosewall Contorno and Vincent Contorno of Bellaire; mother and father-in-taw. Lauretta Bowdon Krueger and Elton Krueger of Houston, brother-in-law, Bill Bowdon and Dot Bowdon of Houston; nephews, Dick Bowdon of Midland. Brad Bowdon of Houston, Bob Bowdon of New Jersey.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 7, 1986 at 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church with The Rev. Bob Kristensen officiating. Interment will be held in Weimar at the Osage Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on August 7, 1986.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the New Age Hospice, 7 Chelsea Place, Houston, Texas 77006.

Robert "Bob" Rosewall met his wife, Grace "Gigi" Bowden, while she was attending Louisiana State University and they married and moved to Midland, Texas, where Bob was starting his career with Exxon. They retired to Weimer, Texas in 1986.
His wife, Grace passed away August 18, 2007 and was laid to rest next to him in Osage Cemetery.
