Married to Jack Wayne Robbins on July 21, 1962. Mother of Crystal Ann, Paul Burnett, Lana Beth and Nina Lynn.

OBITUARY:

Ruth Ann Robbins, 76, of Carlisle, IN, passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2020 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born on June 5, 1944 to Burnett Carrithers and Mary Ruth (Sheffler) Carrithers. Ruth Ann was a 1962 graduate of Carlisle High School. She had been a bookkeeper for Grower's Co-op, and for 12 years she was the Haddon Township Trustee. She was a member of Shaker Prairie Church for over 60 years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was the secretary/treasure of the Women's Circle Group. She and Jack were the leaders of the Haddon Blue Ribbon Hustlers 4-H club for more than 25 years. In 2008, they both received The River Friendly Farmer Award and were one of the top five conservationist in the state for the year of 2009.

Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Jack Robbins, whom she married on July 21, 1962. Other survivors include a son Paul Robbins and his wife Lauren of Pauls Valley, OK, daughters, Crystal Palmer and husband Steve of Marion, IN, Nina Cribbs and husband Andrew of Greenwood, IN, and Lana Powell of Oaktown, IN. Her brother Bill Carrithers and his wife Marsha of Carlisle also survive. Her grandchildren include Seth Robbins, Blake Robbins, Jessica Caldwell and her husband Matt, May Howard and her husband Brian, Emily Largent and her husband Jon, Levi Palmer, Jacob Cribbs, Brenna Cribbs, Cian Cribbs, Hannah Powell, Madison Powell, Jake Powell, along with five great grandchildren: Lincoln Caldwell, Emmett Caldwell, Cadence Howard, Titus Howard, and Jacob Largent.

Ruth Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She had the ability to make everyone feel special and loved. She was a leader and a motivator encouraging her kids to work hard and succeed at whatever they were doing. She spent her life serving others. She taught countless kids how to sew and cook. She modeled how to live a life for Christ. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower garden and cooking for family and friends.

Due to the current conditions we are facing with Covid 19, services for Ruth Ann's life are going to be held in a private ceremony on June 13, 2020. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date for all to attend. Burial will be at Odd Fellows' Cemetery in Carlisle, IN. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. In-lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Carlisle Odd Fellow Cemetery or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
