Anthony Melvin “Mel” Anderson passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the age of 88.
Beloved son of the late Melvin F. and Annetta (nee: Ames) Anderson; loving husband of the late Louise M. (nee: Brodeur) Anderson; dear father of Cynthia and husband Stephen, M. Anderson, Christine and husband Darren, Annette and husband Dennis, Angela and husband Scott and the late Kevin Anderson, dear grandfather of 19, and great grandfather of 24; cherished father-in-law of Cheryl Anderson; uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Mel proudly served his country in the United States Army. Family was the most important thing in his life, especially his late wife Louise. He enjoyed all sports, but really enjoyed the St. Louis, Cardinals.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on June 17, 2020 also at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center.
Due to the current pandemic the burial will be private.
