The Gates of Heaven opened wide and Gloria welcomed Ken inside, died peacefully of a broken heart in his 94th year on Monday, April 9, 2018.
Devoted and loving husband of the late Gloria (Schmidt) Rabethge (2017) and the late Vera (Hunter) Rabethge (1977). Beloved father of Terralene (Ron) Johnston and Sandra (Ken) MacDougall. Cherished and loving stepfather to Gloria's children, Terry Warner, Nancy (Al) Burgers, Jim Warner, Karen Hallman (Ben) and Lynette (Russ) Blackwell. Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Ken is survived by sisters-in-law Marie Deichert, Claudine Koyich and Joanne Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Eric and Leona Rabethge, and his brother Bobby (2007). Ken was an electrician at J.M. Schneiders until his retirement and was a member of the Waterloo Legion. Death in old age is a transition not a tragedy. Cremation has taken place.
