Funeral services for Yvonne Marie Crochet Murphy who passed away at the age of 51 on the morning of Monday, June 8, 2020, at Jennings American Legion Hospital will be at Iberts Funeral Home in Franklin, LA on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 6 PM until 9 PM and again Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 8 AM until 11 AM. Burial will be at the Perpetual Park Cemetery, 1400 Sterling Road, Franklin, LA..
Yvonne was born and raised in Franklin and has been a resident of Jennings for the past five years.
She was the seventh of eight children born to Emmett and Maxillia Crochet. A loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and aunt, Yvonne had a strong faith in the Lord.
She was affectionately known as Nanna by her great nieces and great nephews Kamron, Allen, Avah, Connor, Collin, and Davanie, who were like grandchildren to her.
Some of her favorite pastimes included baking and crocheting. She also had a love of music, especially gospel music. But most of all she loved her family.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to have known her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her husband, Randell “Randy” Murphy; sons, Michael Murphy and his wife Katie and Kyle Murphy; siblings, Emmett Joseph Crochet Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Alcide Peter “Rebel” Crochet, Alfred Joseph Crochet and his wife Linda, Gloria Crochet Evans, Elizabeth Crochet Arcemont and her husband Avery, and Rachel Crochet Simoneaux and her husband Dale; godchildren, April Verret and CJ Arcemont; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Joseph Crochet Sr. and Maxillia Smith Crochet; and an infant brother, Roland Joseph Crochet.
