April Dawn Reed of Chickasha was born April 28,1981 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and departed May 24, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. April attended Chickasha public schools and USAO, and was in the process of obtaining Medical Billing and Coding certification at the time of her passing.
April had a variety of interests, most notably a passion for reading fiction and listening to music. She spent much of her time reading novels by her favorite authors JK Rowling, JR Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Karen Marie Moning. An avid concert attendee, April loved music and listened to a wide range of genres. Among her favorites were Blue October, The Rasmus, HIM and Luke Bryan. She was always ready for a road trip to witness a live music show. April had a passion for baking for family and friends. She made some awesome cupcakes as most of you will remember from years past.
April was preceded by her father Johnny Mandrell, Step-Father Jimmy Burnett, Maternal Grandparents Lois Laverne Reed and John Wesley Reed, Paternal Grandparents Oma Mandrell and Jeff Mandrell, Step-Grandparents Geneva Burnett and Jim Burnett. She is survived by her mother Evelyn Burnett, sisters Misty Trussell (Brady Trussell) and Lisa Reed, Brother Jimmy Reed (Amber Reed), nieces and nephews Blake Trussell, Remy Trussell, Adriyana Willis, Emmalyn Willis, Wesley Reed and Scarlett Reed.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for June 27th from 2pm-8pm at the bath house at Shannon Springs Park. There will be a potluck dinner afterwards everyone is more than welcome to bring a dish with them.
