Henry Castro of Jamaica Queens, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020.

Josh was born June 22, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY to Mariah Castro. He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Ryan Smith-Castro and brother, Ulysses Castro.

Henry Castro was the perfect depiction of a hard-worker. He worked as a bus driver for the NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority for 24 years. He had a larger than life personality and was so friendly and outgoing. He never met a stranger. Josh loved traveling to many different countries. He loved to relax by playing video games. Josh was a man of many talents, from building his own computer to recording his own rap record. You'll never meet anyone else who was as funny, caring and empathetic. Josh was encouraging to others, always uplifting their spirits.

A funeral service in celebration of Josh's life will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home's Concord Chapel. Burial will follow at the Rutherford Cemetery, Concord. The family will receive friends following the burial at the home of daughter, Destiny Castro.

In addition to his mother, Josh was also survived by daughter, Destiny Castro of Charlotte; brother, Curtis Field; brother, Ezekiel Castro; sister, Gretchen Castro; brother, Romance Castro; sister, Shumbey Mercer; sister, Qura Castro; brother, Thayer Castro; and several nieces and nephews.
