Mr. Michael Wayne Whaley, age 54, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on February 20, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the loving son of the late Danny R. Whaley, Sr. and Wanda Ann Bruce Whaley. He grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from North East High in 1984 where he enjoyed playing baseball. He worked as a quality engineer at Fein Tool in Cincinnati for 20 years and Arvin Sango for one year. On October 15, 2014, he was united in marriage to Sarah Leslie May in Madison, Indiana. A faithful member of Green Road Baptist Church, Michael enjoyed volunteering at church and King's Daughters' Hospital. Mike loved riding motorcycles, following the Cincinnati Bengals and fishing. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, son and friend. Michael died on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 1:30 a.m. at his home in Madison, Indiana with his beloved wife holding his hand.
A LOVING FAMILY
Michael will be missed by his loving wife of five years, Sarah Leslie May Whaley of Madison, Indiana; his son, Mark Anthony Whaley and his wife Ashlee of Cincinnati, Ohio; his mother, Wanda Ann Bruce Whaley of Cincinnati, Ohio; his step-sons, Nicholas Howley, Logan Chandler and Joshua Chandler of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Cayden Whaley, Carissa Whaley, Brenden Whaley and Skyler Burton; his sister, Pam Morgan of Cincinnati, Ohio; his brother, Danny Royce Whaley, Jr. and his wife Elly of Omaha, Nebraska; his sister-in-law, Cynthia Turner and her husband Dennis of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny R. Whaley, Sr., died August 25, 2018, his brother, Mark Whaley, died August 20, 1984, his daughter, Stephanie Ann Martin, died December 8, 2016, and his grandma, Rosie Bruce, died February 19, 2008.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 5:00 p.m., by Pastor Chris Chavez at the Green Road Baptist Church, 432 Green Road in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana and Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at the Green Road Baptist Church, 432 Green Road in Madison, Indiana.
