On Thursday, August 16, Dana entered the presence of the God she loved. She fought cancer several times over the past twenty years, meeting each battle with the perseverance and grace she demonstrated throughout her life. Though she now knows the fullness of joy promised in Scripture, her family and countless friends will always feel her absence.

Born February 8, 1945, Dana was raised in Bondurant and spent most of her life in central Iowa. She was loved by her husband of fifty years, Tom; her children, Angela Meron, Tracy (Matt) Dickinson, and Pete (Jen Stewart) Grimes; her grandchildren John, Justin, Polly, JayRoss, and Elaina Carlson; and Grady, Sophie, Emma, Aimee, Aaron, and Eli Dickinson; her mother, Leota Hamlin; her sister, Sharilynne (Richard) Boettcher; her brothers, David (Edna), Nathan (Sally), and Jim (Judy) Hamlin; as well as the many friends who were touched by her godly life. Dana was preceded in death by her father, James Hamlin, and her brother, Dan Hamlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassion International (12290 Voyager Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO, 80921), InTouch Ministries (PO Box 7900, Atlanta, GA, 30357), or Campus Crusade for Christ (PO Box 628222, Orlando, FL 32862).
