Jacob Brumbaugh Jr. served as co-administrator with his mother Mary Elizabeth Angle Brumbaugh (1740-1806) of the estate of her late husband Johann Jacob Brumbaugh (1726-1799). (It is only in recent years that this Johann Jacob's birth date in Germany is known-- it is Feb. 8, 1726 as shown by LDS microfiche of the German birth registers of Osthelden in Siegen, Westphalia.) Jacob Jr. settled the estate of his father by giving his mother her dower share, and then dividing up all the 3500 acres of real estate (13 farms; 1 in Washington Co, MD, and a dozen farms in Morrison's Cove, Bedford Co, PA) among the seven children. All this was done amicably.
Although Jacob Jr.'s wife Catherine Rentch was German Baptist Brethren ("Dunker") (her newspaper obit so described her), there is no known evidence that Jacob Jr. adhered to that faith (although his parents did).
