He was born on Jan. 19, 1926, in Anderson, to Cleo and Ruth Davis, where resided all of his life.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He retired from Delco Remy after 45 years as a tool and die maker.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, golf, bowling, playing cards with friends, but most of all enjoyed being with his family.
June is survived by his loving wife of almost 71 years, Irene Valentine Davis; children, Gary Davis, Debbie (Harold) Cookman, Jeff (Naomi) Davis, Lisa (Bob) Taylor; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie James; and several nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Ruth Davis; brothers, Theodore Davis, Roy Davis, Ora Davis; sisters, Helen Banter, Martha Runyan, Dolly Davis, and infant sister, Gracie Lou Davis.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 1:15 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by the Daleville American Legion.
