KNIGHTSTOWN--Betty Lou (Todd) Dean 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Tuesday morning June 9,2020 at her home.
She was born in Hunting County, IN on Dec. 7,1931, daughter of Clayton Jerome and Velma Leona (Bennett) Todd.
Betty was a 1950 graduate of Carthage High School and began working as School Security at Morton Memorial School, Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Childrens' Home. and worked there until retiring in 1994. She also assisted her son, Landon, as a Advanced EMT for Dean Ambulance for 19 years. Betty also work as a customer service representative at Mounds Mall in Anderson for 4 years.
She was a Birthright Quaker and member of Walnut Ridge Friends Church . Betty's number one priority were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved gardening . Her home and yard looked like a flower show.
Survived by her 3 children Tamara Spencer (Companion Don Rodgers) Kalynn S. Dean, Landon J. Dean all of Knightstown; 3 grandchildren Ashley Cheek, Brittney (Zach) Besil, Cameron Dean; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Sharon (Tom) Roberts and many nieces and nephews.
She ws preceded by her husband or 62 years Robert Elisha Dean, brothers and sisters Robert P. Todd, Donna J. Brooks Hiner, Frances J. DeWill, Kenneth Todd, Shirley Whitfield, Pat DeWill and William R. Todd.
Burial Glen Cove.
