"DANIEL TALBOTT‘ (22) was born 4 May or 3 June, 1738. In his twenty-sixth
year he joined the Society of Friends and married. “At a monthly meeting held
at Herring Creek 11 mo. 25 1763 Daniel Talbott son of Joseph Talbott has for some
time been a very constant attender of our meetings, and his life and conservation
sober and orderly as far as is known, & by a friend requests to be taken under the
care of Friends, which request this meeting consents & desires his growth in the
blessed Truth.” “At a monthly meeting held at Herring Creek 1 mo. 27 1764 Daniel
Talbott and Elizabeth \Vard appeared in this meeting and signified their Intentions
of marriage with each other it being the first time.‘ * “At a Monthly Meeting
held at West River 2 mo. 24 1764. Those Friends that were appointed to attend
the Marriage of Daniel Talbott & Elizabeth Ward report it was accomplished according
to good rules used among Friends.” He was living as late as 19 Dec. 1783, when he was
mentioned at the monthly meeting at Indian Spring, Anne Arundel co. Dr. Wm. Talbott
of Fairfield co., Ohio, one of his grandsons, said that he lived and died in Calvert co.

Meeting held 16 of 7 mo. 1802 our women friends inform that Ann”
[E1izabeth?] “Wood formerly Talbott accomplished her marriage with a
man not in membership with us, by the assistance of an hireling teacher”
* * * “At Indian Spring Monthly Meeting held at Sandy Spring 17 of
12 mo. 1802 a Testimony was produced against Elizabeth Wood as directed
which was read and information being now received of her decease, the
meeting concludes any further proceedings in her case unnecessary.”
