OBITUARY: The Morning Press, Bloomsburg, PA, Mon., Jan. 19, 1981
Frank B. Zarr, 83, Millville, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday at the Geisinger Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 23, 1897, in Madison Township, son of the late Lloyd and Kathryn Confer Zarr. His early life was spent in Madison Township, but for most of his life he resided in Millville.
He was retired from the state Department of Transportation and had been employed as a custodian at the Millville Post Office until three weeks ago when he became ill.
He is survived by his wife, the former Edith C. Crawford; two sons, Robert, Bloomsburg RD5; Raymond, Midland, Mich.; four daughters, Ethel Parker, Millville; Mrs. Leonard (Betty) Leighow, Millville RD1; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) James, Danville RD2; ;Mrs. Donald (Phyllis) Shade, Millville. Thirteen grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson also survivor. Also surviving are one brother, George, Turbotville; three sisters, Ruth Heckman, Bloomsburg, Beatrice Kane, Reading, and Dorothy, New York.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2p.m. from the Poust Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Schmuck, Millville United Methodist Charge, officiating. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery.
