She was a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs.
She attended school at Gulfport High where she was on the drill team, before heading off to Perkinston Campus where she attended classes before deciding on starting her family.
Barbara loved gardening, bird watching, everything about nature and being outdoors, playing board games, spending time with her Villa Maria friends and most of all spending time and visiting with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sarah Latimer, her first foster Mom, Mama Callie Cuevas, then Mama Callie’s daughter who fostered after her passing, lovingly also known as Mama Joyce Warren (Sidney): her siblings, Jeanie Noble, Frank “Buddy” Ladner, Billy Latimer, and Bobby Latimer.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Ketchum and her husband Richard, and Tammy Wescovich and her husband Joey; the father of her children, Raymond Moran (Henrietta): her precious grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephanie, Jordan and Lindsey; and her two great-grandchildren, Charles and Cameron; her sister, Dianne McCormic, brother, Danny Warren, and sister Shirley; her dear friend who was always like a sister to her growing up, Marilyn Alston and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass begins at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Jackson Ave. in Ocean Springs. Interment will follow in D’Iberville Memorial Park Cemetery in D’Iberville.
