GOSHEN, IN. -- Elizabeth D. Vaughn, 78, of Goshen, died Friday, June 5, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Minnesota. She was born July 3, 1941 in Brooksville, Mississippi, to Pierce E. and Eva Dean (Triplett) Moore. On July 8, 1960 she married Herbert Lee Vaughn. He died August 9, 2013.

Survivors include two children, Sylvia (Paul) Sawatsky of Cedar, Minnesota and Kevin (Melissa) Vaughn of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Micah, Matthew, Eliza, Andrea and Benjamin; four great-grandchildren, Scarlet, Camille, Klara and Declan; and sister, Dorothy Banks.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Vaughn and sister, Lanelle Abbey.

A Goshen resident since 1960, Mrs. Vaughn worked at Chase Bag Factory followed by Mogel Rubber for about 30 years and then as an accountant at Salem Insurance and a tax preparer for H&R Block. For the past five years, she has used her artistic talents to knit and crochet handmade, one of a kind creations while working alongside her daughter.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and Friday, from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service at First Baptist Church, Goshen. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial donations may be given to Faith Mission, Elkhart.
