CAROLINE BRUEVER
Mrs Caroline Bruever, a lifelong resident of Teutopolis passed away Friday evening, May 16th, 1947 at St Anthony's Hospital in Effingham after several months’ illness. She was 80 years, 3 months, and 13 days of age at the time of her death.
Caroline was the daughter of Joseph and Angela Niehaus (Moeller) and was born February 3, 1867. She was the youngest of four children namely John Niehaus, Mary Fuelle and Josephine Thoele all who preceded her in death. On January 25th, 1898 she was united in marriage to Ben Bruever who also passed away January 21, 1918 Mrs Bruever had been making her home with her nephew, Mr. and Mrs John Niehaus before entering St Anthony's Hospital.
Mr. Frank Bruever of Effingham and Mrs Frank Havickhorst of Neoga are a brother-in-law and sister-in-law of the deceased. There are also several nieces and nephews who survive.
The body was taken to the Habing Funeral Home in Teutopolis where rosary was recited Sunday evening at eight o'clock and funeral services were held Monday morning at nine o'clock in St Francis Church in Teutopolis with burial in St Francis cemetery.
Pall-bearers were Bob Niehaus, Charles Niehaus, Frank Schwerman, Jr., Edwin Fulie, Virgil Fuelle, and William Weber, Jr., all great nephews of the deceased.
Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Josephine Labich of Madison, Wisconsin, Olive Niehaus of Chicago and Mrs John Heuerman of Effingham.
