Glenn Williams, 66, of Shiloh, Illinois, beloved husband of Patricia Corley Gridiron for 47 years, passed away May 28th, 2020. Glenn was born in Detroit Michigan on July 1st, 1953 to the late Calena Darden and Willie Williams. He graduated from Beaumont High School in 1971. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Army. Upon completing his service and receiving an honorable discharge from the Army, he relocated with his family to San Antonio, Texas, and then several other states before settling in Davenport, Iowa. Glenn worked for John Deere until his retirement in 2018. In retirement, he moved to Columbus, Georgia, and then Shiloh, Illinois to be close to his family.

Glenn cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was at his happiest when he was reminiscing about the past with family and friends over a game of cards. He enjoyed going to the movies, particularly comedies, and developed a passion for ceramics in his later years.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, and numerous loving family members and friends.

A private funeral service will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery for the immediate family on June 5th, 2020. A celebration of life will take place at a later date for extended family and friends.
