Christine Agnus Parker, 58 years young, gracefully gave up her fight with ongoing illness on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo. She was born on May 6, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa to Leo McMahon, Sr. and Selma Martinez.

At the age of 14 years old, she moved to Pampa from Kansas and has resided here since. She married Brock Parker on October 11, 2003 in the gazebo at the Schneider House Apartments surrounded by family. To simply say that Christine had a servant’s heart would be an understatement. Caring for others was her true passion. Never one to be idle, she worked tirelessly to make sure others around her had everything they needed, whether it be clothes, furniture, food, transportation to and from appointments or perhaps even a shoulder to lean on. She could immediately recognize when someone was in need and made every effort to make sure those needs were met. Christine was an absolute angel to the other residents of the Pam Apartments as she cared for many of them in each of their ways. Never one to seek recognition for her efforts, she simply wanted to spread love and care in any way that she possibly could.

Christine was an amazing cook and everything she whipped up was excellent! During any down-time she may have had, she enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching with her daughter, Terry. Her two granddaughters were the twinkle in her eyes, and she loved them both with her whole being. Her funny personality, orneriness, and extremely compassionate spirit will be greatly missed by many who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Terry Woodward, Rose Keys and a brother, Leo McMahon, Jr.

Those left to remember her are her husband, Brock Parker of Pampa; daughter, Terry Wyant and husband, Sam of Pampa; brother, Steve McMahon of Arkansas; sisters, Kathy McMillan and husband Sam of Garden City, KS, Mary Cruz and husband Luke of Dodge City, KS; mother-in-law, Judy Young of Pampa; father-in-law, Larry Parker and wife Julia of Pampa; two granddaughters, Annabell McMahon, Emily McMahon Wyant; her special friend, Bertha Merchant of Pampa and numerous friends at the Pam Apartments.

Due to social distancing and some travel restrictions, the family has opted to schedule her Celebration of Life Memorial service at a later date. We will update service information as it is available to us. To receive automatic updates of service information, simply click the “Get Notifications” icon below her online obituary. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Should you wish to honor Christine by making a donation in her memory, the family suggests they be made to the Pampa Meals on Wheels, 302 E Foster Ave, Pampa, TX 79065 to help continue her ministry in caring for other’s needs.
