He was a native of Macon County, the son of the late Charles Alexander and Edna Liner Williams. Modeling a strong work ethic, he was a heavy equipment operator and his happiest moments were operating his dozer. He was a loving, gentle father with a heart of gold and great sense of humor.
He is survived by three daughters, Edna Morgan and her husband, Joe, of Franklin, Teresa Dodge and her husband, Mark, of Mukilteo, Wash., and Jeanne Tastinger and her husband, Tom, of Franklin; daughter-in-law, Marlene Williams of Franklin; sister, Mary Sue Hyland of Franklin; two brothers, Jim Williams and John Williams, both of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bryant Funeral Home in Franklin with the Rev. Cecil Frady officiating. Burial will be at Iotla Baptist Church cemetery
