His career as educator began as a school teacher and continued for over 35 years while earning advanced degrees until he retired as an elementary school principal. He ventured into commercial development with MEDLINC Inc. that developed a Connecticut Servicemark for electronic Medical Records.
He was an interim professor at Loyola University in New Orleans. He was a member of Central Congregational UCC, American Contract Bridge League, Omega Psi Phi fraternity, NAACP, alumnus of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge and LSU in New Orleans.
