After a long illness, courageously borne, Nancy Ann (Noth) Langdon, 66, passed away at her Rutland, Vt., home on June 1, 2010.

Nancy was born in Hazel Park, Mich., July 19, 1943, the only survivor of triplets born to the late George and Mabel (Lambert) Noth. Nancy was educated in Pine Bluff, Mo., and Hazel Park, Mich., schools. Nancy graduated as an LPN in 1975.

She put her heart and soul into nursing, driven by her desire to help the sick. She lived her life in an ethical and moral manner. Two of the principles by which she conducted her own life were "hard work and honesty."

Nancy is survived by her life companion and most dear friend, Donna Montag; special friend, Tricia Blanchard; daughter Wanda Langdon; two nieces, Linda Bonner and Suzie Houghtaling; two nephews, Doug and James Noth; a sister-in-law, Mary Noth, and her three children, Steven, Jessica and Jennifer; and numerous cousins. Nancy was predeceased by her parents; an infant sister, Dorothy; and three brothers, Carl, Marvin and Eugene.

In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed gardening, woodworking, dancing and fly fishing. She had a great love of nature and enjoyed watching deer, beavers and, especially, whales. In honor of her passion, her ashes will be scattered with her beloved whales off of Cape Cod. Last July, she realized her lifetime dream of touring Alaska by land and sea, much to her delight.

Nancy's warm, welcoming smile and infectious laughter will be remembered by her loved ones and friends always. She will be missed terribly, but the love and memories of her will be held eternally in our hearts.

In honoring Nancy's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or services.

Memorial contributions in Nancy A. Langdon's memory may be made to the Rutland Eagles-Special Olympics team. Please send donations to Mary Mitchell, 712 Horton Road, Sudbury, VT 05733.
