George was a retired mechanic who loved tinkering with things. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Korean War and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Philomenia Peters; his wife, Bertha (Binz) Peters; one sister and three brothers.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kathryn Nehus of Paris and Marilyn Martin of Moody, Alabama; one sister, Mary Peters of Paris; two brothers, James Peters of Etna and Jerry Peters of Farmington; one granddaughter, Tiffany Mouada and husband Sam of Fort Smith and three great grandchildren, Samir Mouada, Karim Mouada and Hakim Mouada.
Private burial of cremated remains will be held in Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
