Dorothy JoAnn Moss, 90, of Tulsa, passed away on June 16, 2022. She was born on March 25, 1932, in Oil Trough, Arkansas. Growing up in a small farm town, she couldn't wait to move to the big city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was in Tulsa that she started a life and eventually met her future husband, Joseph. Dorothy loved to paint, do crafts, and garden. She loved being outdoors and going on outdoor adventures and drives in the country. She loved God and family and most of all when she became a mother at 39. She became a stay-at-home mom who sewed her twin's matching clothes, cooked meals, and took care of business by being a school homeroom mom, girl scout mom, and PTA volunteer. Eventually, she went back to work when her girls were teenagers and became a retail manager at Mervyns Promenade. She was one of the first employees hired there in 1986 and was one of the last to leave when Mervyns closed its doors in 2005. Becoming a grandmother in 2010, at age 78, gave her a renewed purpose of helping take care of Rylie and Jared, which included helping watch them during the day, every day, and picking them up from school. She left a lasting legacy of strength, independence, and hard work for her grandkids to follow.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Olive Davis and Orven Monroe Green, her brother, Harold Green, and her husband, Joseph Clifton Moss.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Stacie Nutt, and her husband, Brian, Tracie Nail, and her husband, Allan; her brothers, Patrick Green and Richard Green; her grandchildren, who she adored more than anything on earth, Rylie Nutt and Jared Nail, who affectionally called her "Mimi."
